#3 Ironic

pic from fuckyeahpink

Life is good sometimes.

Though suddenly you realize that some kind of phase may come no matter how hard you deny. Or found out that quarter life crisis slapped you right in your face. Waiter in a coffeeshop whose forgot to add sugar in your peach tea. Rain fell in your busy day. Favorite heels that stuck on the wet land. Memorable song in your intimate chit-chat. Surrounding by friends while you just want to be alone. Mingle with frengers whereas your thoughts demand for solitude. Widely awake all night long before meeting in your early morning.

Cheers a beer in the rooftop with best friends. Chicken curry indomie in the middle of the night. Phones that not ringing yet. Deadlines on your boyfriend birthday's eve. Guitar that you can't play. Trapped in bunch of kiddos when you desperately need your ciggs. Cozy spot that reserved by the current guest. Dismenorhea in your treadmill schedulle. Secretly swept your tears in public transportation. Running out battery when urgently need to call your news sources. Killing your greatest expectation. Say hello and smile when you feel messed up inside. Uncertainty reach your limits.

But even your life full of irony, you know that everything in life has its price.

Does it make you feel better?

Ironic by Alanis Morrissette

"Ironic"

An old man turned ninety-eight
He won the lottery and died the next day
It's a black fly in your Chardonnay
It's a death row pardon two minutes too late
And isn't it ironic, don't you think?

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought, it figures.

Mr. Play It Safe was afraid to fly
He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids goodbye
He waited his whole damn life to take that flight
And as the plane crashed down he thought
"Well isn't this nice..."
And isn't it ironic, don't you think?

Well life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
When you think everything's okay and everything's going right
And life has a funny way of helping you out when
You think everything's gone wrong and everything blows up
In your face

A traffic jam when you're already late
A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break
It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife
It's meeting the man of my dreams
And then meeting his beautiful wife
And isn't it ironic?

  1. Cheers!
I've been thinking lately that this phase would end maybe not in the next two years. Mine, maybe, would be 4 or more.

I don't think "the more the merrier" suits for this situation. Hoorah!
